Description
This Mandala workshop is designed to help you relax and unwind and get into a space of being in the present moment through art, visualization and letting go of outside distractions in order to access a spontaneous, innate creative place within yourself.
A mandala is a Sanskrit word meaning 'sacred' or 'magic circle'. Mandalas have been used for centuries as part of a meditative and creative practice. Psychologist Carl Jung observed that his patients often spontaneously created circular drawings when they were feeling stuck or stressed. Jung also began drawing his own mandala's in 1916 and noticed that they corresponded with his feelings and thoughts, he soon realized that they were therapeutic, first to draw, then to look at and further to reflect upon. Mandala images emerge spontaneously (without needing any artistic skill) as a sign of change, transformation, wholeness, growth and a birth of something new.
In this workshop, we will create a safe space without judgment, in order to open up to our inherent creativity, a particular quality everyone has. You are in for a real treat!
