Art Therapy Online

Art Therapy via Skype

Art Therapy in the comfort of your own home or work. No art experience required!

When live sessions are inaccessible, or if you are unable to travel to Cape Town (where I live and work) - Art Therapy Online is the answer… How very exciting!

Online Art Therapy sessions have become increasingly popular overseas, especially with people who prefer to have therapy in the comfort of their own homes, or live too far to travel. The ability to work with art via the Web brings a unique opportunity to experience Art Therapy regardless of where you live. It also really feels like therapist and client are working together in the same room even though they may live far apart.

Online sessions are beneficial for all adults and children.

What equipment do I need?

You will need a computer/iPad, internet access, webcam and Zoom.

You will also need some paper and basic art materials to get started, such as paint / watercolours / crayons / pastels / koki’s (felt tip pens) / chalk / charcoal / clay, more of which can be accumulated over time. (A list of ideas can be emailed to you)

“It was the best week of my life, I learnt that I could always be happy as long as I was in a happy and comfortable space, and if I wasn’t I needed to create that space. I learnt that I was in control and all I had to do was to take charge and have fun and paint on a bigger board i.e. see the bigger picture. I am so grateful for the opportunity that came my way and that I was able to embrace and savor it.”
